eco - Association of the German Internet Industry invites you to a short online discussion on January 22, 2025 on the topic of NIS2. Now that the legislator has not transposed the standard into national law in time, companies are asking questions that will be addressed at the eco event.
The EU Directive NIS2 on “cybersecurity” was supposed to be transposed into German law by October 18, 2024, but this did not happen. The German government also failed to get the law passed during the current legislative period. Nevertheless, the standard is just around the corner and at the same time, the EU states that have managed to implement the EU directive on time are already knocking on the door of domain registrars.
At the event organized by eco on 22 January 2025, Philipp Ehmann, Dr Jens Eckhardt and Ulrich Plate will address the question of how companies can deal with the currently unclear legal situation. At the event, the speakers will address the question: Should companies start implementing the organizational and technical security measures required by NIS2? Especially as the directive has been in force since 2023 and clearly formulates what needs to be done. Or can companies wait until a national implementation law is passed?
The eco eV Open Talk “NIS2 - What to do?” will take place online via Microsoft Teams on January 22, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Participation is free of charge, registration is required.
