WHD Event GmbH organises CloudFest every year. Next year, the event will take place in Germany from 17 to 20 March 2025 as usual at Europapark near Rust. Details of the CloudFest 2025 agenda are not yet available, but it provides an initial overview of the upcoming four-day event. In addition to the ‘regular’ events, there will also be relaxing moments in the evening, such as a karaoke evening. As in previous years, CloudFest will end with a ‘BeerFest’ on 20 March 2024 at 19:00. Cory Doctorow, George Sadowsky and Roger Dingledine have already been announced as speakers. Two days before CloudFest 2025, a two-day hackerthon will begin on 15 March 2025, promising a special event at the new Hotel Krønasår. Anyone who feels part of the open source community has the opportunity to attend as a guest of the organisers for two nights, including breakfast. Solution-orientated open source projects will be programmed. In addition, work will be done on open source projects that explore how human creativity and new technologies can complement each other in open source development.
