Summer is surely coming soon, and with it the European Summer School on Internet Governance (EuroSSIG) is approaching. This time it will take place for the 19th time from July 26 to August 2, 2025 at the Evangelische Akademie Meißen. Applications for scholarships are still possible.

If you want to know how Internet governance works and what the political, economic, social and legal implications of Internet governance are, if you want to understand the meaning of the crazy abbreviations ICANN, RIR, DNS, IDN, IPv6, ISP, IETF, W3C, WSIS and many more, the 19th European Summer School on Internet Governance (EuroSSIG) is the right place for you and you should apply. The 2025 Summer School offers a unique 48-hour multidisciplinary academic program at a high level. From 26 July to 02 August 2025, the organizers promise a program with a balanced mix of theoretical lectures from world-leading academics and practical presentations from well-known experts working directly in the technical community, in the market or in the organizations responsible for policies. The broad outline of the agenda is already available, with cybersecurity and artificial intelligence listed as topics. The social events have also already been determined.

Students and individuals working in the private sector, in governments or in civil society groups from all over the world can apply. There is no age limit. Application criteria are a basic academic degree or relevant practical experience. Participants from countries in emerging economies can apply for scholarships until February 28, 2025. Participants who are self-funded can apply for participation until March 31, 2025.

The European Summer School on Internet Governance 2025 will take place from July 26 to August 2, 2025 at the Evangelische Akademie Meißen, Freiheit 16 in 01662 Meißen.
