At the beginning of November 2024, the Norwegian Internet Forum 2024 will take place under the motto "security and freedom" at the National Museum in Oslo (Norway). At the moment, the only date to remember is November 7, 2024.

NORID is organizing the one-day Internet Forum 2024 together with the Norwegian Communications Authority (Nkom). The Norwegian National Internet Forum is a meeting place for stakeholders from different areas of the Internet industry, law, politics, philosophy and security. NORID, the administration of the Norwegian .no extension, organizes this forum every year. This November's theme is security and freedom. NORID points out that digitalization is taking place in all sectors and in all parts of society and that the Internet is a central and essential part of this. This raises questions: How is the Internet managed? Who makes decisions about the Internet? What security threats are there for ordinary citizens? How are the right to freedom of expression and the right to privacy balanced against society's need to be protected from threats? Interesting speakers have already been announced for the event, including Trond Helge Baardsen (EFTA), Chris Dispain (DNS Capital Ltd.), Mari Velsand from the Norwegian Media Authority and the philosopher Joachim Hammerlin.

The Internet Forum 2024 will take place on November 07, 2024 at the National Museum, Brynjulf Bulls plass 3, 0250 Oslo (Norway). Registration for the event will be open from early fall 2024.
