How to identify your domain name in the Blockchain Explorer?

Sun 4. Aug 2024, 10:30

1. Click the link to the Transaction Details in your TLD list or domain list of your Freename account, e.g. for Polygon.

2. The Transaction Hash is your identifier for your mint. You can use this as well for searching the Blockchain Explorer.

3. Scroll down to "More details" and click on "+ Click to show more" to expand the view and click on "Decode Input Data". The name of the SLD or TLD will be displayed.

4. When you have minted more than one domain at the same time, your SLDs and TLDs will be listed all together in the field "Input Data".

Thank you to @Domino for the input.

It‘s important to consider that as soon you reveal only one of your transactions, everyone can trace your whole portfolio of cryptocurrencies, NFTs and all transactions in the future and the past connected to the your wallet.

You can prevent any privacy issues by opening dedicated wallet addresses for different purposes, e.g. separation of private and public assets plus separation of crypto currencies and NFTs.

Good point, but this requires a lot of attention, especially direct transactions between those wallets need to be avoided. Otherwise it‘s easy to recognize the connection of the wallets to each other.
For most crypto users, this will be too uncomfortable over time.

Yes, it‘s a consideration between demand for privacy and amount of effort.
A lot of people won‘t mind to be known. Others would like to stay anonymous.
If you create a business based on your name, it can be even beneficial to be famous and make transparent what assets you own.

If your intention is to become a trustworthy crypto influencer, transparency could be in your interest, but I expect that most people don’t want to show all their private finances to the public.
