The Brussels-based .eu administrator EURid has published its report for Q2 2024. The number of registered .eu domains rose from 3,682,476 in Q1 2024 to 3,711,027, a slight net increase of 28,551 domains. The renewal rate has also risen slightly from 81% to 83%. However, the number of multi-year registrations fell from 6,036 to 5,261. In strategic terms, the partnership with the Shadowserver Alliance was important for EURid; it aims to improve global cyber security measures. In addition, the introduction of the EURidity data quality system was a milestone in preventing domain-related problems and streamlining the necessary processes. In addition, EURid introduced a new support platform to improve stakeholder support and efficiency. Furthermore, participation in key industry events such as Nordic Domain Days, CENTR Jamboree and EuroDIG fostered collaboration and knowledge sharing within the industry. The Q2 2024 report is now available to download free of charge.
