Freename changed the handling of sales tax

Postby Freenamer » Tue 15. Oct 2024, 10:06

Freename now shows the country-specific sales tax (VAT) in the shopping cart.

The VAT, for which the amount varies according to country-specific regulations, is added to the total in the shopping cart.

If you do not want to pay VAT, go to the account settings. Under "Profile" you will find the "Billing info".
After changing to "Business account", no VAT will appear in your shopping cart.

You have to register a business in the country where you are located and handle the VAT at your revenue office accordingly.
